WindowAlert decals help prevent wild birds from accidently striking windows. Each decal has a special coating that reflects ultraviolet sunlight. This ultraviolet light is invisible to humans, but birds see it as a brilliant glow much like a stoplight.
To the human eye, the decals appear as frosted or etched glass. Butterfly decals measure approximately 4" across. WindowAlert decals are designed to be placed on the OUTSIDE of a window. As a rough guide, we recommend one decal for every 3' x 3' section of glass. Reapply decals every 6-9 months.
CONTENTS: 4 Decals per Envelope. TYPE: Static cling.
(If a bird repeatedly attacks your windows, please consider our Stop Bird Attack product.)

Have been using decals for long time, they help avert bird strikes. This time I've added the liquid dots to fill in areas.

These decals really do stop birds colliding with your windows. We have large patio windows and used to get a lot of collisions until we put these on the windows now we don't get any. They look pretty too. I have been using them since last fall and have replaced the decals recently as recommended. Easy to apply and they stay on.

We have a huge picture window that had killed several birds. After installing the reflective butterfly decals, birds no longer come close enough to collide.
So far so good

We live in New Zealand and we have recently moved into a house that is surrounded by glass wind protection. We saw many birds loose their lives crashing into these glass panes. So glad we found these decals on the internet. Thank you! So easy to apply and so effective. Not a single casualty since we have these decals.
easy to use effective nice to look at
a few of decals came off after a few weeks, not sure why. But only 4 out of 40

Our home has many windows, so we suffer bird strikes all year long, especially in the spring and fall during migration. It breaks our hearts, some make it, some do not. In our dining room, there is a patio door and large window that meet at a corner and they try to fly through them thinking it's open. Since we started using the clings, many years ago, strikes have been significantly lowered. They really make a difference without obstructing the view. We'd recommend changing them every 6 months, as the film and its effectiveness wears off over time.
Easy to use Limited view obstruction
Cost is a bit pricey, especially when multiple clings are needed

We purchased these after we had a few too many birds hit our windows. My cousin, who lives in another state, was encountering the same issue. She is also very knowledgeable about butterflies, so it was the perfect little gift,, two packets of butterfly decals. From what she's said, she's quite pleased with them.
Trying to deter birds from hitting my window
Posted by patty b on 23rd Jan 2015
I have one window,my bedroom window, that for some reason is not evident to birds and I frequently hear sad thuds when they hit. Then worry about the bird. Is it injured? Is it OK? I pray that God who looks after even the sparrows will help it. Then I saw these decals in a bird supply store. I went to buy 2 pkgs and the sales person said no, just one is more than enough for a regular window. Birds kept hitting so I bought several pkgs. online. Decals about cover the window plus a window nearby. I was so happy, delighted, really, to have an answer to my problem! Sadly, a bird just hit the window. I've spent over $40 on this hopeful solution. I think they may be some helpful but I don't know. I just want to be able to communicate to the birds to not fly into the window.
Not working as well as portrayed.

We have a large glassed in porch on the back of our home. Our bird feeder is very close to this room. Before window alert I had bird strikes weekly, now almost never.

So glad we have put this on our windows - it has stopped the birds from hurting themselves.
